Let Me Take a Selfie by Phoenix Today was a chilly, but beautiful day at Ian Baillie!  We started out practicing to be good listeners and speakers with a sharing circle.  What is something you have to do to be a good listener?  What was the favorite TV show of the person you asked?  Our spelling word today was "everything" and the pretend story we made was for a story called "How to boil an egg".  We doodled a few different kinds of houses.  We practiced our song for Remembrance Day with the other class.  In language arts Mrs. Hill did a lesson on word work.  She gave us some letters and we tried to make up as many words as we could.  I bet some of those letters were vowels!  How do I know?  After recess we had math.  We talked about greater than, less than, and equal too.  Well, actually we spent alot of time talking about crocodiles, but it was almost the same thing!   Can you finish the math sentence "12 __ 7"?  Today was a hot lunch day!  I cant thank the volunteers who run that program enough!  Its so awesome!  Pop in some Wednesday at lunch and help out if you are available.  After lunch we had a very challenging art class!  We tried a small oragami ghost.  Oragami is always frustrating the first time.  We will have lots of chances to practice this year.  In PE we did some hockey stick handling skills.  We finished off the day with our book of gratitude and packing our agenda with the new book order and a memo.  Get lots of sleep and I will see you tomorrow!
