Another day that flew by in our classroom! We started off the day with Mrs. Hache doing our regular morning routine! She likes to drop in occassionally and see how everyone is doing. She was very impressed with the students who had their jobs done and were in the green zone to learn! What zone were you in? Our spelling word was "education" and our "First" was for a story called "How to avoid detention". We took another attempt to doodle a wolf! How did yours come out? In math we started off the class with a 3 min math listening quiz. We did a sheet of 30 single digit addition, and we worked on our math with friend using flash cards to review our facts from 0-20. After recess we had language arts with Mrs. Hill. We did a read aloud, daily five, and worked on some writing. At lunch we stayed inside because it was too cold to go out. We also had some fun making our classroom carpet fly! Check out our banner at the top of the page if you think we're making it up. After lunch Mrs. MacKenzie came in for guidance and talked about stress and tension.  We watched some videos and did some activities related to stress.  In PE with Mrs. Hache we did some gymnastics.  She was very impressed with how well our head stands are coming along!  After PE the students were quick to remind me that they had won a game in the gym because they had more happy faces than sad faces.  We played a quick game of soccer, did some kicks, and pretended we were train tracks for the soccer ball.  Did I mention the soccer ball is almost as big as the students?  We came back upstairs and cleaned our desks, signed our own agenda's, and got ready for home.  If the storm passes us and there is school tomorrow we will be skating at the LBA at 10:30.  We should arrive at the LBA at about 10:15, and any help with skates and helmets would be greatly appreciated!  If there is a school cancelation then skating is also cancelled until next month as the LBA is booked well in advance daily throughout the winter.  Get lots of sleep, dress warm, and I will see you tomorrow!
