Another fun day in Grade 2 at Ian Baillie. We started the day off making our teams for Make Something that Does Something on Friday. We did up our jobs and did our Morning News for on a story of a Fox. Our spelling word was "convertible" and our "how to" story was for "How to make a Sandwich". In Math we did a quick listening quiz, flash cards with a friend, we reviewed greater than and less than, we looked at sorting 3D shapes by their attributes. Whats an attribute? After recess we had Language Arts with Mrs. Hill. We started out deciding who we were going to vote for in the grade two Mayoral Race; Bear, Monkey, or Arthur. Who did you vote for and why? (Bear won by the way). The class also worked on Biography poems. What was something you said you feared? The class also did a round of Daily 5 so that Mrs. Hill could work with a reading group. After lunch we talked about germinating seeds. We wanted to trick them into thinking they were planted in the ground. How did we do that? In PE Miss Clark let us play some games. What was your favorite game? We finished off the day with a quick glimpse at the Addams family, did a 3 minute desk clean, wrote in our book of gratitude and got our agenda's signed. Remember to dress warm, get lots of sleep, and I will see you tomorrow. Are you going to the District STEM FEST on Saturday? Maybe I will see you there!
