What a great way to start off the week!  It was an awesome day in Grade 2.  Some students were a little worried about my new seating plan starting off the day as I had every desk in the room against the wall to make it easier for Mrs. Potter to scrub the floors on the weekend.  We moved the desks into the middle of the room to start the day.  Our spelling word was "sincerely" and our letter was to Camp Sheldrake telling them about a few of the things we are hoping for tomorrow!  We doodled an alien and went to LA.  Mrs. Hill wasnt here today but she will be back tomorrow.  After recess we had math.  We played some dice games, we did a survey with tally marks to collect data, and used that data to make a bar graph.  We also had a listening quiz using our place value charts.  After lunch we had PE with Mrs. Hache.  I know you did yoga, but I heard roaring again! After PE we had Art.  We drew a butterfly on a flower.  We finished off the day with our book.  Ivan made a promise I dont think he can keep, and something sad happened with Stella.  We did our book of gratitude, signed our agenda, and had a quick talk about the field trip tomorrow.

We will be going on our trip, rain or shine.  Dress appropriately, not a great day for a dress and heels!  Bring your own lunch and know that there are no microwaves (same as everyday at school).  I believe everyone in our class has returned their permission forms so we are good to leave the school at 8:40 sharp!  Remember we are respresenting all of Ian Baillie and we will be on our best behavior and be great listeners!

Have a great night, get lots of sleep, and I will see you in the morning for a fun day!
