Tips for Keeping Lunch Safe:
1. Always wash hands before preparing or eating lunch. This is the one of best ways to prevent food spoilage and contamination.
2. Keep cold foods cold.
3. Keep hot foods hot.
4. Clean all lunch boxes, thermal bags, plastic utensils and containers in hot soapy water. DO NOT re-use plastic wrapping and bags.
5. Wash all fruits and veggies under cold running water.
Due to the snow day today, Miss Lillian Walting will be rescheduling her job as Principal for the Day unitl Monday February 25, 2013. So, save your gum and bring it to school on Monday. And don't forget, there will be a special treat in the gym for all of the students on Monday as well.

Let children help make their own lunch.
Children can also help with grocery shopping and suggestions for lunch items.
Include stickers, notes or cartoons in lunch box to brighten up their day!
Convenience Foods.
Convenience lunch packs (ie. Lunchables) are easy but they may be high in fat, sugar and salt. So why not make your own.
Jazz up your children’s homemade lunch pack with colourful packages, or lunch bags to make it fun.
