Are you too busy to make home cooked meals on weeknights?
Read more to find out why you have more time than you think….
No time to cook healthy meals during the week? Having ingredients ready to go makes it a little easier. Try these time-saving ideas:
• On the weekend, peel, wash and chop vegetables for the next couple of dinners
• Marinate meat and freeze in small portions to defrost quickly
Instead of sending out a hot lunch menu for the month of March we have decided to do free hot lunch each Wednesday in March. These free lunches are compliments of Miramichi New Brunswick Community College, Ian Baillie and the H&S. We will be having Pizza (Hamburger, Ham & cheese) each Wednesday along with a juice box and dessert. All your child will need on Wednesday is a snack for recess!
We thank the NBCC for their generous donation and their offer to help out serving the lunches in March!!!
Have a wonderful March Break!!!

2013 Christmas Concert Coverage In the final week before school closed for Christmas break, Ian Baillie Primary students were spreading Christmas cheer throughout James M. Hill with practice and performance of their annual Christmas concert. JMH Journalism professor Mr. Martin ventured into the unknown territory of interviewing some of the visiting students to find out how things were shaping up! Check out this awesome coverage on the Tommie Times and the JMH school page by clicking on the links! It wont be long before these students are on the other side of the mic!
Always wash hands before preparing or eating a snack. This is the one of best ways to prevent food spoilage and contamination. Wash all fruits and veggies under cold running water.
Clean all lunch boxes, thermal bags, plastic utensils and containers in hot soapy water. DO NOT re-use plastic wrapping and bags.
Keep foods cold
-Yogurt, deli meats and cheese should be kept cold.
-Be sure to keep lunches in the fridge until the morning and include an ice pack or frozen juice pack when sending lunches to school.
