During Language Arts we looked at samples of writing and added punctuation and capitals where needed. We reviewed our writing rubric and students proceeded to write in their journals being mindful of the writing rubric;
1. Opening sentence telling who and where.
2. 5 details
3. Closing sentence or heart statement.
5. Use capitals and punctuation.
6. Spacing between words.
While students were writing I read with various students at their reading level. Students will reflect on their writing tomorrow and will use a highlighter to identify the items in the rubric. Students went to math class with Mr. McCallum, please see his page for details. This afternoon students did yoga in gym class. Next Baby Braxton came in with his mother (Kelsey), grandmother (Alanna) and public health nurse (Susan McLenaghan). Finally I read Double Fudge aloudand we practised our song for The Music Festival.
