Welcome to our grade 3 Daily Class Report.  Today started off with learning to draw a horse.  We also learned about a horse rescue.  Do you remember what that is?  We FINISHED the Marley book!  Mr. McCallum's voice kept getting very high and he had to take lots of breaks reading the last few chapters, but it we finally got through it.  Do you remember the "Lucky" ending?  In math we worked out of the text on standard numbers and modeling numbers.   There was choir at recess.  I hope youre practicing at home choir members.  We had Language arts with Miss Gallant and got to get outside for lunch where the grade 2-3 got to play soccer.  We had tally Tuesday today in PE.  Today's picture is Mitchell and Thomas taking their turn tallying laps for their partners.  Mr. Murphy came in for guidance.  Do you remember what he was telling us about?  We had science at the end of the day.  We made paper airplanes and did an experiment to see where they would glide better, the moon or the earth.  We didn't finish the experiment we be had a great talk about "gravity" and "atmosphere".  Tomorrow is Boston Pizza for hot lunch.  Have a great night and see you tomorrow.

There was still lots of excitement in the air this morning from the soccer last night!  I'm so glad everyone had fun.  This morning we learned about how insects make homes, and how we learn from them.  In our book, Marley is up against some big odds.  Do you remember what that means?  In math we did some board work with arrays and reviewed some vocabulary.  We had PE and social studies, but the highlight of the day was most definately a visit from Science East!  We got in groups and were given time to build something with straws!  There were some rules, but I cant remember what they were, do you?  I hope tomorrow is just as much fun!
