We continued to work on patterns today in Math.  We discussed attributes (shape, size, color) of objects used in patterns and how a pattern core must repeat 3 times to be considered a pattern.  In art we made a wreath for remembrance day to help decorate the gym.  In guided writing we started our story about a cheetah named Killer, you can ask what its about.  In the agenda today we put "pennies".  Every month the home and school awards a trophy for the class that brings in the most pennies.  We decided that our class can't win every month, but we all try and contribute a little so that we can win at least once this year!  Lets win for October!  You may notice that there is no morning letter today.  I accidently erased it, ooppps!

We started a new unit in math today on patterns.  We started skipping in gym.  Mr. Lange and Mrs. McCarthy taught some new songs.  Ask how Clementine's rehearsal for the talent show is going so far.

Good Morning,  Annabelle went to Sunday school yesterday for the first time ever!  Josh lost a tooth yesterday and it fell down the drain!  BUT he got it back out. YAY!  Reese went to the movies and had a slushie.  Brendan went to the skate park and narrowly avoided injury.  Logan has been working on building his own skateboard park and ramps.  Kelly, Reese, Rachel, Sara, and Amilya all went exploring in the woods and found some cool stuff.  The adventures never end!Mr. McCallums Class

Its that time of the year where students are getting comfortable enough to test their boundaries.  This often translates into some rude and bold behaviors.  Ian Baillie is a great school but it is unfortunately not exempt from this either.  That being said, today started with an assembly where Mrs McCarthy revisited the school rules.  I think our class knows, and follows the school rules for the most part.  Our biggest challenge is our classroom rule " BE PATIENT ".   Can your child explain what that means in our class?

Good Morning,   Today is Friday.  We started today with an assembly.  It was not a fun assembly.  Mrs McCarthy is not happy with some kids lately because they are not listening to the teachers, even after school!  Our class made some bad choices, but we will make good ones from now on!      Good job today with your lock-down practice. Today is Shannon's birthday.  Happy 8th birthday Shannon.  I hope you don't have any mouth problems like your sister did yesterday.  Josh is going to Tree-Go for his brothers birthday this weekend. Hang on tight Josh!  Zach Robichaud is going to see if the skate park is opened.  Logan's cousins, Reese's Nanna, and Abby's aunts are all coming for a visit.  Rhyan might be going to the movies.  Have a great weekend.Mr. McCallums class

Can you believe tomorrow is Friday already?  What a quick week.  No morning letter today because I was out for the first half of the day.  Interim reports went home today.  Feel free to contact me at anytime if you have any concerns.  Tomorrow I change all the seating, but some students had a little surprise when they walked in today.  There was something different/new about our classroom.

Another day full of surprises.  We had a surprise fire drill today!   And in the chapter book our class is reading, well, I think the people in Clementines building are going to get a surprise at their next building meeting.  I'd like to see her tap dance her way out of this one!  I will be out of the class until after lunch, but I will still be in the building, so I might have a little surprise of my own waiting for the students when they get to class tomorrow!

Good morning,     I hope you are all paying attention. Does anyone have any news for our morning letter?  Shannon is excited for her birthday on Friday.  Logan's parents are going to New York.  Ben had a visit to the Miramichi Airport to see how a plane works.  Colby is looking to join more activities.  Do you remember which ones he said?  Tomorrow we will have a guest teacher for part of the day.  Mr. McCallum will be outside learning about cool math activities we can use on our track!  Baillie Bugle people will meet at noon.  Have a great day. Mr. McCallums Class.

First day back from a 5 day weekend.  Everyone obviously got lots of rest because the students in this room had tons of energy and were super loud today.  Tomorrow is a new day, and hopefully one with the volume turned down a few notches.  Thursday this week Interim Reports go home and Friday our book orders go out and our fundraising monies come in.   There will also be a spelling test this Friday.   Please remember if your spending more than 20 minutes a night on homework or if it is a source of stress please contact me!
